Are you a good communicator and organiser? Do you enjoy meeting people and hearing about their lives, experiences and adventures? If so, then this position may be ideal for you.
Our current Speaker Secretary, Tessa Thompson, is reluctantly standing down and we are looking for someone to replace her. Tessa has organised a full and varied schedule for the remainder of 2025 and several months into 2026, therefore whoever takes over will inherit an established programme.
It is a non-Trustee role which includes booking and liaising with speakers for each monthly meeting, seeking out diverse and engaging topics and ensuring that the needs of the speaker are met on the day. The Speaker Secretary will be part of a team, collaborating with committee and support team members to ensure that talks are publicised effectively.
To ensure a smooth handover, Tessa will support the successful applicant initially and further help will be at hand where necessary.
