Joining HWu3a could not be easier. There is no age restriction the only stipulation is that you are not in full time employment. You can either join online or by downloading and completing an application form. Membership is for a calendar year (1st Jan – 31st Dec) or part thereof.
The membership for 2025 £11 per person this will give you membership until 31st December 2025. If you are a full paying member of another u3a you may join as an Associate for £8.
In applying for membership you agree to comply at all times with the HWu3a Member Code of Conduct and the Principles of the u3a Movement. Please also read the following before completing the form.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK tax payer and wish to gift aid your subscription, this will boost your donation by 25% at no cost to you. Gift aid is then reclaimed by HWu3a from the tax you pay for the current tax year. You may cancel your gift aid at any time by notifying the Membership Secretary. You must also notify our Membership Secretary if you no longer pay sufficient tax or change your address.
To gift aid your subscription, simply tick the box in the on line form or paper-based form. In ticking the box, you confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of gift aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, you are responsible for paying any difference.

HWu3a will only use the personal information that you provide in your membership application to manage and administer your membership. The legal basis for holding your personal information is that we have a legitimate interest in doing so as without it we could not administer your membership or carry out HWu3a’s charitable purpose.

There are two methods of applying to join the HWu3a. You can apply online or you can download, print and fill in a paper form.

If you are unable to download and print the application form then please contact our Membership Secretary. You can also join in person at our HWu3a Get Together on the 4th Monday of the month at the Methodist Church, Northampton Road, Market Harborough. Opposite to the Market Hall. If you write to the Membership Secretary and require a written reply or receipt, Please include a DL sized (220mm by 110mm) or similar sized stamped addressed envelope.
