“We’ve had 26 new members join in the past month, double the norm for this time of year,“ reports Louise Elsome, Chair, HWu3a. “I’m sure there’s a direct link to all the events HWu3a has taken part in, including the Busking, which is a separate thing. A great result for publicity!”
As a result, two new activity groups have been created: a third Petanque group and, at the request of walkers during u3a week, a brand new one called Urban Thursday Walks. Particular thanks go to Kevin Millard, Dave Martin and Gina and Graham Hansley for making these happen.
