Our first return visit for 13 years to Brock’s Hill in Oadby coincided with a very grey, miserable morning. A Song Thrush in full voice as we exited the cars gave room for optimism for the morning. Sadly, other than a male Bullfinch sighting, nothing else of note was encountered unless you count the profusion of Magpies around the site! Anyway, the world was put to rights in the cafĂ© afterwards so we left with a smile on our faces as the Song Thrush was still singing!
