Activity Group:

Jamming Workshop

Activity

The Jamming Workshop is a self-help group designed to put like-minded musicians in touch with one another so they can play or ‘Jam’ together in a friendly and fun way. Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards, singers. All abilities welcome.

The Jamming Workshop simply facilitates musicians getting together to jam together. We can help put people in touch with other people who would like to play together.

Where and when

It is envisaged that people will initially meet each other in their home to jam and see if they have similar musical tastes. If they click, then a rehearsal space can always be found. At the moment we meet fortnightly on a Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 12:30.

Other information

Some participants in the past have gone on to form bands (e.g. the ‘Jordan Jammers’ and ‘Phoenix’) who perform at local gigs to a reasonable standard. If any of these bands require reasonably competent musicians to fill a missing role within the band (e.g. Bass Player or Keyboard Player Wanted) then the Jamming Workshop will publicise any of these vacancies on this web page too.
