Activity Group:

Petanque

Activity

The Petanque group started in September 2020, we were just coming out of lockdown, and outdoor sports was one of the few things we were allowed to do. We now have 48 members that play twice a month on the 1st & 3rd Monday, which means that we are technically full again, but with people away on holidays, there’s often spaces for people to pop along and give it a go, we have an online spreadsheet booking system which makes it easy to check availability . K.M

Where and when

We play on Monday mornings 10.00 – 2pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays (exc. bank holidays) at the new Piste in Welland Park, near the cafe.

Other information

Although we are technically full, with 48 members, prospective new members are welcome to come along and have a go, you can borrow a set of Boules to start with. If you would like to give it a try, please telephone me for more information.

Petanque – Sep 2024

It’s great when a plan comes together, and after the disappointing reception we received at Lyddington last time we went there, the visit to Wycliffe Bowls Club near Lutterworth was a resounding success. Their 10 ( yes ten!) pistes allowed us to stage a 6 game pairs tournament for the 24 players over 5 rounds … Read more
