We certainly picked the day to visit Cafe Ventoux at Tugby. With the temperature hovering between 3 & 4 degrees and a stiff 20mph North Easterly, it took us 2 hours to do the 15 miles from Tur Langton, but it was well worth the challenge, with stunning views all the way and a lovely welcome at the cafe.

We followed the field roads through the Rolleston estate to Skeffington and on to Tilton with hardly a car in site. The return journey from Tugby was thankfully backwind, which was LOVELY.

We were looking forward to a gentle ride for our 3rd Friday cycle, but we were faced with 40mph winds again, this time 15°C Southerlies, so it was Uphill and Headwind all the way to the Royal Observer Corps viewpoint near Clipston, before heading back to The Coffee & Cake Dept where we all sat outside enjoying the sun & the warmth.
Also Huge thanks to the lovely road workers at Clipston for waving us through their “Road Closed” section, very different to our January experience!!
