It’s great when a plan comes together, and after the disappointing reception we received at Lyddington last time we went there, the visit to Wycliffe Bowls Club near Lutterworth was a resounding success.
Their 10 ( yes ten!) pistes allowed us to stage a 6 game pairs tournament for the 24 players over 5 rounds ( thank you all for coming so that my games spreadsheet worked ok)
Many thanks to Simon & Teresa for making us so welcome, laying on Tea/Coffee and reminding us of the rules ( stand inside the ring)
After the games most of us headed to The Man at Arms for lunch, a King Henry Tavern, same as the Old Red Lion at Welham, so decent food and great value, where we went through the score sheets; congrats to Stuart for overall winner with 36 points and to Gary, a close 2nd with 34. We will certainly go back.
