It’s Josh Smalley here, finalist of the Great British Bake Off 2023, and I’m so excited to be working with the Medical Research Foundation on their Research Bakers challenge and to be the judge of this year’s exciting competition!
As you may have seen in your latest copy of the u3a members’ magazine, I am inviting you to take part in a baking challenge with a scientific twist in support of the Medical Research Foundation. I would love for your talented group members to get involved!
Whether you are a seasoned baker or just love a good slice of cake, this is a fun and meaningful way to bring people together and to support vital medical research into underfunded and overlooked health conditions.

The group with the most creative bakes will win an exclusive in-person visit from me – _yes, me_, live and in the flesh!
And… the top 10 most creative bakes will be showcased on the Foundation’s website along with the name of the winning group.
