u3a Week was off to a great start this morning. First timers were joined by several HWu3a regulars to try out their first ParkWalk around the course in Welland Park, Market Harborough. After a short briefing to outline the route around the park, we made our way to the official start near the entrance on Welland Park Road. Volunteers walked or ran with the newcomers, chatting away and answering questions, before 3 and a bit laps later, making it across the finish line to collect a token and await their result by email later that morning. The weather was kind too: not too warm and not raining. We celebrated with a coffee and flapjack (or at least some of us did) afterwards. Always a fun morning in lots of ways and we hope they will make it a regular thing.
